We recently went through about a month of split testing for “cold” , un-targeted traffic (media buys) looking to get very cheap optins. We were surprised at the results. Pretty much at every turn…what we THOUGHT was going to convert better…didn’t! Lesson learned (again and again), that testing is really the only way to go.
This data should be very useful for your own campaigns of this type.
Here was our first candidate and it converted at 8%.
